We encourage you to design your study with a plan for data sharing. Contact the Child Trauma Data Archives team at any point in this process about your plans to contribute your dataset to the PACT/R or CTPT Data Archive at the conclusion of your study.

To prepare for data sharing:

  • Conduct your study with appropriate ethics board approval
  • Include informed consent / assent that allows sharing of de-identified / anonymized data
  • Organize your data and create a clear data dictionary
  • Document your processes for deriving study variables from raw data
  • Carefully document any modifications of standard measures
  • Set up data files consistent with Child Trauma Data Archives data standards
    • variable names and formats
    • naming assessment time points
